He’s a narcissist! The word gets thrown around way too much. In this video, I ask,”Are you dating a narcissist? Here’s a better question to ask…”

Are you dating a narcissist? If you’ve ever been in an emotionally abusive relationship, you may be tempted to label every man who exhibits those selfish and toxic traits as a narcissist. In this video, I discuss why it’s important to NOT label men as narcissists, but instead, learn to recognize the signs of someone who is TOXIC to you.
Are You REALLY Dating a Narcissist?
‘Narcissist’ is a word thrown around way too often
I see it in my Facebook Group. A woman writes about a man who treated her poorly or ghosted her. Inevitably, someone writes, “He’s a narcissist!”
To be honest, I used to quickly label men and women as narcissists, too. Anyone who seemed self-centered, talked only about themselves…NARCISSIST!
Here’s the dictionary definition of a narcissist:
-
a person who has an excessive interest in or admiration of themselves.“narcissists who think the world revolves around them”
While we may meet people who admire themselves excessively and think the world revolves around themselves, unless we are therapists, we are not qualified to diagnose anyone.
And the truth is, it doesn’t really matter if someone carries the label of a bonafide narcissist, sociopath, egomaniac, or anything else. What matters is this: Is the man you’re dating emotionally dangerous? Is he toxic to YOU?
Once you understand the traits of someone who’s toxic to you, you’ll be able to avoid those men.
Watch this video to learn the signs of men who are emotionally dangerous, so you can only give your heart and soul to a man who is emotionally safe.
