Flirty Fridays: Flirting tips for the supermarket

The dreaded four-letter word that might be killing your chance of finding love? H-O-M-E. It’s simple: don’t stay home if you want to meet a guy. Chances are pretty darned good that the love of your life will not be knocking at your door any time soon.

Today’s Flirty Friday tip is about being prepared  to meet Mr. Right whenever you leave home (which should be as often as possible). He might even be in the produce aisle on your next trip to the supermarket. The secret is to always be ready…

Flirting tips for the supermarket:

  1. Before you leave the house, check yourself out. Make sure you look your best. Don’t overdo the make-up. Your hair should be clean and neat. If it’s a mess, put it in a ponytail. But don’t go overboard. If you spend too much time on your looks before you shop for food, you could appear a little desperate or high maintenance. Make sure to smell nice and clean. but hold back on the perfume. Some scents are off-putting. Better safe and clean than smelly and sorry.
  2. When you find an attractive guy, look for something in his cart to start a conversation. How do you know if he’s single? Check his finger for a ring. True, not all men who wear rings are married, and all men who don’t wear rings are not necessarily single. But it’s a good place to start. Also, check his cart for single-looking purchases: a six-pack of beer, one roll, a package from the deli, ready-made frozen dinners. Make a clever comment about something in his cart. Or just ask a question, such as, “Are those frozen lasagnas any good? I was thinking of getting one for myself when I don’t feel like cooking after a long day at work.” (Hint, hint, I’m single, too).
  3. Try to head towards the checkout around the same time. This way, you’ll have more time to talk while standing in line together. You can start the ‘about that item in your cart’ conversation in the checkout line if you didn’t have it earlier. And compliment him in a subtle way, like, “I couldn’t help but notice how nicely your blue eyes match your tie”.

Get out there this weekend and flirt while you shop.

I hope you find the daily special : )

xoxo

Sandy
