EP 528: How To Get Great Dating Outcomes in a Modern World

What are some of the issues you’ve seen in modern dating?

When people are successful, it often affects their dating and relationships. The key thing I saw was a lack of prioritization. We make time for the things that are important. Your work life can come at a sacrifice to your dating life.

From the male perspective, if I’m in a relationship and I’m building a business or trying to achieve a business goal, I’m going to put most of my energy into my job. A woman who is dating and wants to have children will need someone to help take care of the kids, which changes the way she dates and the eligible men in the dating pool.

What are some challenges you’ve observed at work with team members and their dating experience?

Trying to balance work and dating. Between thirty and thirty five, they have to decide if they want a relationship and career success. The easiest is career success. They date to have fun.

If they want both, they have to decide what they’re going to sacrifice either professionally or personally.

How has your coaching impacted your client’s relationships?

They are more patient with dates. They ask questions at different levels – first date questions, dinner questions, weekend away questions.

They lead with empathy.

They get to the middle ground: introspection of ourselves and dating. Once you understand yourself and how you got to where you are today, you can set goals to be successful in dating and relationships.

They stop being attracted to charisma, and they find high value people to date.

What’s your best advice for anyone who wants to go on their last first date?

Be honest about who you are and what you can provide. You’ll start to attract and manifest what you want.
