Brad is the author of the best-selling children’s book “The Wizard’s Wish,” the co-author of the best-seller “Freedom at Your Fingertips,” and a featured expert in the film “The Tapping Solution,” He has also been a presenter at a number of events, including Jack Canfield’s Breakthrough to Success, has done teleseminars with “The Secret” stars Bob Doyle and Dr. Joe Vitale, and has been heard internationally on a number of internet radio talk shows. Brad also has over 400 popular videos on YouTube. Yesterday, he shared some great tips for tapping into new love by healing from past relationships.

Tell us about Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).EFT is a simple technique to help clear stress and improve relationships. Tapping is based on the principles of acupuncture. When our energy is in flow, we feel good. Rather than stick needles in those points, we tap on those points. Research shows it dramatically lowers level of cortisol, the stress hormone.

What is the relationship between our emotions and the choices we make, and how can EFT help people make better choices and achieve better results?

We’re making unconscious choices all the time. Those choices are being made on an emotional level. If they are made on the beliefs that the world is unsafe, you will be afraid to do many things.

Based on this belief that the world is unsafe, if you’re in the supermarket and you see someone out of the corner of your eye and think he/she looks interesting, your mind says “This is dangerous. Oh look, a sale on potato chips in aisle two!”

We make choices to protect ourselves. Self-sabotage is misguided self love. The tapping can clear all that bad self-sabotage out. You can clear out the stress around that past experience. Your choices will no longer be based on that fear. There’s courage and excitement instead. Your happiest self is already inside.
