What do you do if a man is moving too fast, and it makes you uncomfortable? In this video, you’ll learn 5 steps to slow the pace down.

I get this question a lot: “He’s moving too fast, and I don’t know what to do! How can I slow him down without turning him off?” If you’ve ever dated a guy whose pace was faster than yours, you’re not alone. In this video, you’ll learn 5 steps to take if a man is moving way faster than you.

What to Do if He’s Moving Too Fast

If a man is asking you to be exclusive after two dates, or telling you you’re the ‘one’ after date three, do this:

  1. Start with the end in mind. Know your dating/relationship goals and your standards before you date. Discover whether he has the same goals as you get to know him.
  2. Be careful of love bombing. Big red flag! If he’s too complimentary at the beginning, be skeptical. Words mean nothing without action.
  3. Don’t plan for a future before there’s a present. Take one date at a time, and don’t project into the future.
  4. Discuss how you feel about the importance of going slow. Don’t be afraid to speak up, and let him know your boundary around slowing down to get to know a man.
  5. If he doesn’t respect your boundaries, it’s time to move on. There are always more guys out there. A boundary pusher is telling you his needs are more important than yours. Next!
